Happy Valentine's Day!!! I am soooo excited to share my first FREE crochet pattern with you all! To all those who've purchased patterns from me before or who have shown love on Instagram or Facebook this one's for you! And if you've never tried a Lakeside Loops pattern before this is your chance to see the layout and style of my instructions.
This heart cut out hat design has been a loooong time in the making. It was actually one of the very first designs I worked up when I started Lakeside Loops almost 4 years ago. I wrote the entire pattern, created a video tutorial, and took pictures of my littles in the finished pieces (see below). Looking back at the pictures makes my heart melt . . . my girls were so little . . and Lakeside Loops has come so far!
So, I had the original version ready to go but I just didn't love the design. Something was not quite right. So I never published it. Unless I truly love the finished piece, to me, it's not ready to go out into the world. I'm glad I waited . . . Last year I learned the 'Herringbone Double Crochet' stitch and it was just what this hat needed! Now I LOVE the design and couldn't be more proud to share the pattern with you.
The hat is worked in the round (mostly) from the top down (mostly). Haha Are you intrigued? It uses super bulky yarn so it works up FAST and the finished piece is soft, stretchy, and oh so lovable. ;) Download your FREE written pattern HERE!
